The trail was made for e-bikes

The Okanagan Rail Trail follows an old rail bed, so the grade stays gentle from Kelowna to Coldstream. A pedal-assist e-bike turns that into hours of easy riding: further along Wood Lake, up toward Kalamalka, and back with energy to spare.

Our fleet is European-designed with fat tires for the crushed gravel, step-through frames for easy mounting, and a trike for anyone who wants three wheels. Groups with mixed fitness ride together and nobody gets dropped.

Paddleboards & kayaks, two lakes

Oyama sits on the isthmus between Wood Lake and the turquoise Kalamalka Lake. Inflatable SUPs, a youth board and a sit-on-top kayak launch from the beach, steps from the counter.

No experience needed. Mornings are calmest, and the store is right there for ice cream when you come off the water.

Thinking of trying an e-bike?

Tom and Suzanne from Happy Trails & Adventures rode the Okanagan Rail Trail from Oyama to Vernon along Kalamalka Lake on their first e-bike outing. This is what the day looks like.

Good to know

Book ahead

A day in advance is usually enough to get the rental you want. Summer long weekends go quickly.
